Cairo - Ma'an - A high-level Palestinian delegation participated in the joint annual meetings of Arab financial bodies, with the participation of Arab finance and economic ministers, central bank governors and representatives of international regional organizations. The State of Palestine is represented in the work of these meetings, which began yesterday morning, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, and over the course of two days in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Administrative Capital, by the Prime Minister's Advisor for Arab and Islamic Fund Affairs, Minister Nasser Qatami, His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Professor Rizq Salimiyeh, the Governor of the Monetary Authority, Firas Melhem, and Safir The State of Palestine in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dhiab Al-Louh, Professor Farid Ghannam, and the Ministry of Agriculture's advisor for special tasks, Ziad Fadda. The meetings include the Boards of Governors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the Board of Shareholders of the Arab Corporat ion for Guaranteeing Investment and Export Credit, the Board of Governors of the Arab Monetary Fund, the Board of Governors of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the Board of Governors of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, and the Council of Arab Finance Ministers, as well as grants Sheikh Abdul Latif Yousef Al-Hamad Development Award in the Arab World. The event witnessed the presence of representatives of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank Group, the Islamic Development Bank Group, and experts and specialists in the financial and economic fields. The participation of the Palestinian delegation in this annual meeting comes within the efforts of the State of Palestine to enhance Arab and regional cooperation and achieve comprehensive development and economic stability. On the sidelines of the meetings, the delegation, headed by the Prime Minister's Advisor for Arab Funds Affairs, held bilateral meetings with Their Excellencies and Excellencies General Directors and Chairmen of the Boards of Directors of Al-Aqsa Fund's partner financial bodies to discuss ways to enhance support for the State of Palestine, discuss future plans in light of joint efforts to achieve sustainable development goals, and discuss challenges.
