Palestine Polytechnic University obtains WFME international accreditation for its Doctor of Medicine program

Al-Khalil-Ma’an- In a distinguished academic achievement, the Higher Education Accreditation Commission Council, in its session No. (30/2024) held on Wednesday, decided to grant Palestine Polytechnic University the accreditation and quality assurance certificate for the Doctor of Medicine program. This accreditation came based on the powers granted by the Federal Agency for Medical Education (WFME) to the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as an internationally licensed and accredited body for accrediting medical schools.

For his part, the university president, Dr. Mustafa Abu Al-Safa, expressed his pride in this accreditation, praising the efforts of all academic and administrative cadres who contributed to achieving this goal. He added that the university will continue to work on improving the quality of its academic programs to meet the aspirations of students and the community locally and globally.

This accreditation represents an importan
t step in Palestine Polytechnic University’s journey towards academic excellence and providing high-quality education, enhancing its position as one of the leading educational institutions in the region. It is also worth mentioning that this accreditation coincided with the graduation of the first batch of students from the Doctor of Medicine program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

The President of the University thanked the Board of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, headed by Professor Dhafer Yousef Al-Sarayrah, and his team of experts for their great efforts made to achieve this accomplishment, which included ensuring the required standard criteria according to international evaluation methodologies for the medical program, pointing to their tireless work over a long period to measure quality assurance indicators according to the approved quantitative measurement guide. He also indicated that this would n
ot have been achieved without the infrastructure that the university provides for the basic and clinical medical stages, and the competencies and human resources it also enjoys, which have devoted their efforts to establishing an effective start for the human medicine program.

This accreditation also reflects the university’s continuous efforts to improve the quality of education and develop curricula, which contributes to graduating qualified personnel who meet the needs of the labor market. This achievement confirms the university’s commitment to providing a high-quality educational environment that keeps pace with international academic standards.
