A Palestinian girl died Friday after being shot with live bullets by the occupation forces, following an attack by settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, on the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus. Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) quoted the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) as saying that its crews dealt with a girl who was seriously injured by live bullets in the chest, before she died in the hospital. The father of the martyr said that his daughter was shot by live bullets while she was in her room at home with her sisters. Earlier, a young man was injured by live bullets in the hand, and another suffered bruises after being assaulted by settlers in the village. WAFA reported from local sources that a number of settlers stormed Qaryut, attacked citizens' homes in the southern part of the village, threw stones at them, and set fire to lands in the village. Since August 28, the Israeli occupation forces have launched a large-scale aggression on the West Bank, especially its north, which has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 40 Palestinians, bringing the death toll in the West Bank since October 7, 2023 to more than 700.
