Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani met with a group of the Iraqi community in Washington. The Prime Minister announced from Washington that he was working on studying the establishment of a department for expatriate affairs. Al-Sudani added, 'Our visit to Washington is important in order to clarify our vision regarding the shape of the relationship with America.' Al-Sudani confirmed that "Iraq is different today from what it was in 2014 because the terrorist ISIS no longer poses a threat to the country". Al-Sudani stressed, 'We want to move to bilateral relations with the international coalition countries.'
