PM visits the HQs of the Ministry of Interior and stresses the importance of maintaining the momentum of tracking down criminals and drug traffickers

Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, visited, early Thursday morning, the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior in the capital, Baghdad. The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement: 'Al-Sudani held a meeting with a group of officers, commanders, and officials of various formations and agencies, in the presence of the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and stressed the importance of meeting the administrative and technical aspects of the intelligence and police agencies, and the necessity of security measures to be quick and effective in detecting crimes in accordance with the government support provided to the security services, and so that there are no loose ends for the criminal crimes committed.' Al-Sudani stressed: 'Murder crimes, regardless of their background, must be met with immediate action to find the perpetrators and those responsible for them and bring them to justice.' The Prime Minister pointed out that "an attack on any e conomic facility must be treated in the same way as terrorist acts, and the message must be clear that the security presence is effective and meets the requirements that ensure the smooth flow of development projects." He recommended that the officers be bold in making the decision, stressing that he stands with them and supports them in the face of any security challenge or event that hinders the country's economic and development renaissance. He reiterated the importance of maintaining the momentum of tracking down criminals, drug traffickers, and those involved in their circulation and manufacture, especially with the devastating strikes achieved against traffickers, because they target society, and they must be pursued in cooperation and coordination with neighboring countries.
