Doha: The Police Academy's Women's Police Institute celebrated today the graduation of two INTERPOL senior leadership programs. The INTERPOL Senior Leadership Courses of Women in Law Enforcement and the Trainer Development are organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior's Arab and International Police Communications Department and the Interpol Global Academy Network. In attendance were Legal Advisor to HE the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Police Academy, Major-General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, and deputy director of the Police Academy and director of the Police College Lt. Col. Fahd Saeed Al Subaie. The courses brought together 18 female police officers of various military ranks up to the rank of Brigadier, from the State of Qatar and seven Arab countries. The programs aimed to enhance the skills of the participants in important topics in modern leadership and management and the Interpol system and its rules. Director of INTERPOL Capacity Building and Training Jorge Fain stein Gastrell, stressed the importance of holding these courses, which demonstrate the great cooperation and concerted efforts to achieve the desired goals, noting that these courses are an important step towards enhancing the professional competence of the participants, especially in the field of empowering women in law enforcement. The participants expressed their happiness to attend this distinguished program, which will work to enhance their leadership and professional capabilities in the field of law enforcement, as the period of holding the two courses was a real opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues from various Arab countries.
