President of the Qatar Federation Khalil Al Mohannadi, who is also President of the Arab and Asian Table Tennis Federations, and First Vice President of the International Federation and member of the World Table Tennis Foundation, honored the winners of the African Table Tennis Championship competitions held in Ethiopia over eight days. The crowning ceremony at the end of the tournament was attended by President of the African Table Tennis Federation Wahid Oshodi, members of the Executive Office and officials of the Federation. Egyptian Omar Assar won the men's singles title after defeating his compatriot Youssef Abdel Aziz in the final match (4-2) who won the silver medal after a strong match. In the women's singles competitions, Egyptian Hana Goda won first place and the gold medal after defeating her compatriot Mariam Al-Hudaiba, winner of the 2021 edition title, as she outperformed her (4-3) after a marathon match that extended to the third set. Hana Goda succeeded in winning the African Championship for the second time in her history and for the second time in a row after winning the title of last year's championship held in Tunisia. She continued her brilliance after she won with her colleague Hind Fathy the gold medal in the women's doubles competition, in the final match, against the Algerian doubles (3-0), (11-4), (11-6) and (11-4).
