Nablus-Ma'an- Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa visited An-Najah National University on Saturday on an official visit, accompanied by a ministerial delegation and in the presence of Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas. He was received by Prof. Dr. Rami Al-Hamdallah, Vice Chairman of the University Board of Trustees, the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdul Nasser Zaid, his deputies and assistants, the University Deans Council, a number of members of the administrative and teaching staff, and university students. At the beginning of the visit, Prof. Rami Hamdallah welcomed the Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation to An-Najah National University, stressing the joint cooperation between the university and the government to provide all that is distinctive to the higher education sector in Palestine. Hamdallah reviewed the university's continuous achievements and its investment in the latest technology in laboratories and educational tools, and its obtaining international accreditations for its various academic programs, the most recent of which is obtaining international accreditation for the human medicine program, its topping of global rankings, and the excellence of its graduates in various locations, in addition to the continuous investment in An-Najah National University Hospital and its expansion to receive double the number of visitors and patients. Dr. Mustafa expressed his thanks to the university family, represented by its Board of Trustees and administration, for their continuous efforts and continuous development of higher education services provided to students and for the continuous investment in the university's infrastructure. Mustafa praised the achievements made by Al-Najah and its local and regional standing, stressing that cooperation between the government and the university will continue for the good and benefit of students and the higher education sector in Palestine. The visit included a tour of the university's media center. The Prime Minister and the government also met with a large number of students at the Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Theater and listened to their inquiries and contributions. The Prime Minister and a number of accompanying ministers then responded to the questions and interventions, stressing the importance of the role of youth and the need to provide them with the appropriate environment to continue their excellence and creativity.
