Prophet’s Mosque welcomes over 5 million visitors in week

Madinah, The Prophet's Mosque received 5,278,896 worshippers and visitors in the past week, with the Saudi General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque offering extensive services to attend to their needs. A recent report from the authorities about services for worshippers and visitors at the Prophet's Mosque stated that 516,026 visitors paid their respects to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his two companions. Furthermore, 243,800 visitors prayed at Al Rawdah Al Sharifa, following the organised crowd management procedures and visiting hours, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The authority highlighted that 75,898 visitors from diverse nationalities benefited from translation services. Field services included sterilization and disinfection activities amounting to 24,247 litres, provision of 1,570 tons of Zamzam water, and testing and analysis of 180 Zamzam water samples. Moreover, 121,560 Iftar meals were distributed in designated areas for Iftar at the Prophet's Mosque. Source: Bahrain News Agency
