“The enemies of Russia want to destroy it and rewrite the results of the Great Patriotic War, driven by the criminal ideology of superiority, but we want to see the world more peaceful, just and stable for all,” Russia President Vladimir Putin said.

Putin’s remarks came in a speech marking the 78th anniversary of the victory over Nazism.

“The West is waging a real war against us, but we will protect the people of Donbass and our homeland,” Putin said.

The Russian President added “The Ukrainian people have become hostage to the coup of the Kiev regime and the schemes of the West that are the cause of the current catastrophe in Ukraine.”
