Qatar Cabinet Condemns Escalating Israeli Aggression on Gaza Strip, Approves Key Draft Laws and International Agreements

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani presided over the Cabinet’s regular weekly meeting, addressing pressing issues, including the Israeli occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi announced the Cabinet’s renewed condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s actions in the Gaza Strip, labeling them as a blatant challenge to international peace efforts. The Cabinet emphasized the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza and urged the international community to ensure protection for the Palestinian people, promote dialogue for a ceasefire, and facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid in accordance with the Gaza Reconstruction Plan.

The Cabinet also reviewed the agenda items, notably the Shura Council’s approval of a draft law aimed at fostering innovation and scientific research. This law seeks to cultivate a culture of creativity, aligning scientific efforts with societal needs and supporting national development goals.

Furthermore, the Cabinet approved a draft law on the Owners’ Association, which aims to regulate real estate management and mandate the establishment of associations for collective decision-making among property owners. This initiative seeks to address common interests while minimizing disputes.

Additionally, the Cabinet sanctioned a contribution agreement between the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and UNICEF to enhance education, health, and sanitation in Cuba’s Pinar del Rio province, alongside agreements with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and Jamaica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The session concluded with the review of reports on various international participations by Qatari delegations, including efforts at Hamad International Airport, the Global Labor Market Conference, and the Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development, with subsequent decisions made on these matters.
