Tashkent: Qatar Chamber (QC) reviewed ways to enhance cooperation relations with the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry during a meeting held between Dr. Mohamed bin Jawhar Al Mohamed, QC Board Member, and Dr. Alisher Shaykhov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Uzbekistan Chamber.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting took place on the sidelines of QC’s participation in the Second Session of the Qatar-Uzbekistan Joint Committee for Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation in Tashkent. Both parties discussed strategies to strengthen trade and economic relations between the two nations and explored opportunities for cooperation and investment between the Qatari and Uzbek private sectors.
Dr. Al Mohamed commended the strong ties between Qatar and Uzbekistan, highlighting the mutual eagerness to expand these relations. He emphasized the significance of collaboration between the chambers of both countries to identify investment opportunities in Uzbekistan and Qatar. Dr. Al Mohamed also proposed organizing a “Made in Uzbekistan” Exhibition in Qatar to allow the Uzbek side to promote its products more effectively in the Qatari market and the broader Gulf region.
During the Second Session of the Qatar-Uzbekistan Joint Committee for Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation, Dr. Al Mohamed expressed his gratitude to the Uzbek side for facilitating investment opportunities and joint projects with Qatar. He reiterated Qatar Chamber’s openness to cooperation between the Qatari private sector and its Uzbek counterpart through beneficial partnerships and projects serving the interests of both sides.
