Qatar Chamber: Goods Stocks in Local Markets Reassuring

Doha: Qatar Chamber stressed Wednesday that the local stock of goods in major hypermarkets is good and reassuring and has not been affected by the current conditions so far.

According to Qatar News Agency, this statement was made during a meeting held by the Trade and Research Committee of the Qatar Chamber. The meeting, chaired by Board Member and Committee Chairman Mohammed bin Mahdi Al Ahbabi, included the participation of representatives from commercial companies and business owners.

The discussions at the meeting focused on key challenges facing the trade sector, especially those related to supply chains, storage, prices, and costs. The participants also explored appropriate solutions and alternative routes to ensure the continued supply of goods to the local market.

Committee members emphasized that the local stock of goods in major hypermarkets remains stable and reassuring, highlighting the importance of maintaining the flow of goods without obstacles to avoid any shortages in imported products in the future.

Mohammed bin Mahdi Al Ahbabi reiterated the Chamber's commitment to understanding the challenges faced by business owners and discussing these with relevant authorities to find suitable solutions. He praised the cooperation between the Chamber and various ministries and institutions to prevent any shortage of goods or price increases.

Additionally, Qatar Chamber Board Member Dr. Mohammed bin Jawhar Al Mohammed acknowledged the country's efforts to support trade and stressed the importance of collective action to prevent disruptions in supply chains and ensure the continuous availability of goods.
