Qatar lost 0-1 to Croatia on Thursday as part of their preparations for the Concacaf Gold Cup 2023 due to be held in US and Canada from June 24 to July 16.
Igor Matanovic scored for Croatia in the 79th minute of the friendly that was played in Vienna.
Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz recalled two different line-ups throughout the two halves of the game.
The game is the first out of Qatar's three trial matches during the training camp, which will last until June 19. They will also face Jamaica on June 15 and New Zealand June 19.
For the Gold Cup, Qatar were drawn in Group B along with Mexico, Haiti and Honduras. They will play their opener against Haiti on June 25 before they take on Honduras on June 29 and conclude the group stage against Mexico on July 2.
In their first Gold Cup appearance in 2021, Qatar were eliminated in the semi-finals after a 0-1 loss to hosts and reigning champions the US.
