The State of Qatar has made a number of remarkable achievements in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report (GEM) 2020-2021. The Report issued in cooperation between the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor International Alliance led by Babson College (USA), London Business School (UK), and Qatar Development Bank, which is the representative of the State of Qatar in issuing this report. The results of the report reflected continuous growth in the various areas that were measured, with distinguished results achieved in some of the areas covered by the report despite the economic consequences brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

One of the indicators of the report on entrepreneurship activity in the early stages reflects a significant improvement in recent years. The State of Qatar was able to jump 37 ranks in less than four years from the 50th place in the world in 2016 to the 13th in 2020, as the value of the index increased from 14.7% in 2019 to 17.2% in 2020.
