Doha: Deposit rates at opening as issued on Tuesday by Qatar National Bank (QNB) are as follows for various currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD.
According to Qatar News Agency, for the US Dollar (USD), the one-month rate is set at 4.00181, with subsequent rates for two, three, six, and twelve months being 3.92958, 3.85735, 3.69251, and 3.45954, respectively. In terms of the Japanese Yen (JPY), the one-month deposit rate is 0.40000, which increases slightly for the three-month and six-month terms at 0.45000 and 0.50000, reaching 0.76000 for twelve months.
For the Swiss Franc (CHF), the deposit rates are negative, with the one-month rate at -0.16000, and the twelve-month rate slightly improving to -0.06000. The British Pound (GBP) shows a one-month deposit rate of 3.99000, peaking at 4.10000 for a three-month term, before stabilizing at 4.02000 for the six and twelve-month terms.
Additionally, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) shows a one-month deposit rate of 4.60000, with a gradual decrease in rates as the term length increases, ending at 4.10000 for twelve months. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) starts at 5.00000 for one month, dropping to 4.55000 at twelve months. The UAE Dirham (AED) and Bahraini Dinar (BHD) both show varying rates across different terms, with AED starting at 2.05000 for one month and increasing to 3.15000 at twelve months, while BHD maintains a steady rate of 4.75000 across most terms except for the twelve-month rate, which is 4.25000.
