Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has released the latest deposit rates, effective from Sunday. The new rates cover a range of currencies, including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD, and offer various terms from one month to twelve months.
According to Qatar News Agency, the USD deposit rates start at 4.31308% for a one-month term and decrease slightly to 4.16030% for a twelve-month term. The GBP rates begin at 4.51000% for one month and have a slight variation, peaking at 4.53000% for a three-month period before stabilizing at 4.52000% for both two and twelve months.
For the Japanese Yen (JPY), the rates are considerably lower, starting at 0.15000% for one month and reaching up to 0.50000% for a twelve-month deposit. The Swiss Franc (CHF) rates fluctuate between 0.16000% for six months and 0.34000% for two months.
In the local currency, Qatari Riyal (QAR), the rates are higher, beginning at 4.85000% for a one-month deposit and tapering to 4.45000% for twelve months. Neighboring currencies like the Saudi Riyal (SAR) and Bahraini Dinar (BHD) have their rates set at 4.95000% and 5.30000% for one month, respectively, with slight variations in longer terms.
The rates for the United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED) start at 2.05000% for a one-month deposit term, increasing to 3.15000% for twelve months. These updated rates by QNB offer investors and depositors various options across different currencies and terms, reflecting the bank's strategy to cater to diverse financial needs.
