Doha: The First Vice-President of the Qatar Olympic Committee has praised the 4th GCC Games Doha 2026, describing the event as an outstanding success on both organizational and sporting levels. HE Mohammed bin Yousef Al Mana emphasized that the Games reflected the strong ties between Gulf nations, embodied in the slogan "One Gulf, One Heart", and helped to strengthen unity and friendship among young people across the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Mana's remarks came after the conclusion of the 12-day tournament. He noted that Qatar had once again demonstrated its capability to host major international sporting events to the highest standards. He cited the country's advanced infrastructure and extensive organizational experience as key factors in the event's success.

Al Mana also attributed the success of the Games to the support of HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of both the Qatar Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia. His leadership was pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of the Games.

The tournament was particularly successful for Qatar, which finished at the top of the medal table with a record haul of 134 medals, including 48 gold, 50 silver, and 36 bronze. This achievement marked Qatar's best performance in the history of the Gulf Games.
