Doha: Qatar SC announced Monday the signing of South African player Percy Tau from Al Ahly of Egypt. The club said on its official "X" account that the player has been officially signed and will be with the team during the upcoming various local and international competitions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the accomplished forward spent three and a half seasons with Al Ahly of Egypt, during which he contributed to achieving many local and international championships. Before joining Al Ahly, Percy Tau played for Mamelodi Sundowns and Brighton.

Qatar SC occupy the 7th and penultimate place in the general standings of the Qatari Football League clubs (Ooredoo Stars League), with 10 points, and lost its last match in the 12th round against Al Duhail, the leader, by 4-1. Qatar SC are preparing to face its Emirati counterpart Al Nasr next Friday at Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai, as part of the Qatari-Emirati Super Cup competition.
