Al Shaqab: Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, has announced that the State of Qatar will host the 24th CISM World Military Equestrian Championship Show on November 27, 29, and 30, 2024. This prestigious event will see participation from riders representing 14 countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Italy, France, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Ecuador, Brazil, Oman, Egypt, Tunisia, and Syria. According to Qatar News Agency, the championship is a significant gathering within the military equestrian community, reflecting the International Military Sports Council (CISM)'s motto of "Friendship Through Sport." The event further highlights Qatar's commitment to international sports diplomacy and its dedication to excellence in equestrian sports. CISM, established in 1948 in Cannes by Belgium, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, has grown into a global organization with 141 member countries. Qatar joined CISM in 1974, demonstrating its lon g-standing engagement with international sports communities. Al Shaqab, renowned for its world-class facilities and commitment to equestrian excellence, offers an ideal setting for the championship. Its sophisticated infrastructure is a testament to Qatar's pivotal role in promoting sports and fostering a culture of excellence.
