Doha: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the attacks targeting the Zamzam and Abu Shouk displacement camps in the Darfur region of the Republic of the Sudan, which resulted in casualties and injuries, considering them a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the urgent need to protect civilians and humanitarian workers in the city of Al Fasher and its surroundings, and to ensure the sustainable delivery of aid to address the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The ministry reiterated the State of Qatar’s full support for all regional and international efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in Sudan.
