Qatari Horses Shine in French Classic Challenge at Toulouse

Toulouse: Qatari-owned horses claimed the top two spots in the French Classic Challenge for Arabian horse breeders at Toulouse Racecourse. Geneva, owned by Abdullah bin Fahad Al Attiyah, secured her first Group 1 triumph over 2,200 meters, ridden by jockey Alexandre Gavilan and trained by Francois Rohaut.

According to Qatar News Agency, the four-year-old filly’s win followed her third-place finish earlier this month in the Qatar Arabian Trophy for fillies at ParisLongchamp during the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. Geneva finished half a length ahead of Walaa, owned by Yas Horse Racing Management and trained by Xavier Thomas-Demeaulte with Guillaume Guedj-Guy in the saddle.

Molfet, representing Wathnan Racing and trained by Rohaut under jockey Ioritz Mendizabal, took third. The race featured strong international participation and highlighted the continued excellence of Qatari-bred and owned Arabian horses on the European racing circuit.
