Al-Watan meanwhile expressed hope for an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza, especially after reports of progress in negotiations that could be built upon to reach consensus on key issues among all parties, despite previous rounds of talks that dashed the hopes of optimists due to Israeli obstinacy. The newspaper mentioned that the Islamic world welcomes the first day of Eid Al Fitr today, with eyes turned towards Gaza, referring to the current news about negotiations indicating that the participating delegations will soon return to Cairo, perhaps to discuss the final agreement terms. Meanwhile, amidst the ongoing aggression that dampens the Eid celebration for our brothers in Gaza, the English-language newspaper The Peninsula said that Muslims around the world celebrate Eid Al Fitr today amid the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza, which persisted during the blessed month of Ramadan despite the UN Security Council's resolution for a ceasefire. The newspaper noted that attacks on civilians continued despite re solutions from the UN Security Council and the General Assembly, as well as directives from the International Court to prevent genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, ensure the provision of basic services and humanitarian aid, and prevent and punish incitement to commit genocide. It praised Qatar's efforts in supporting Palestinian brothers, tirelessly working to increase the delivery of humanitarian aid to around 2.3 million people in Gaza, in addition to efforts to mediate a ceasefire between the parties. The newspaper detailed Qatar's assistance to Gaza, noting that Qatar sent flight No. 91 carrying 30 tons of aid, including food and medical supplies, to the people of Gaza. Qatar also evacuated hundreds of injured Palestinians for treatment in Qatari hospitals, and a new group of affected individuals arrived in Doha aboard a Qatari Armed Forces aircraft, highlighting Qatar's continuous support efforts.
