The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has been actively involved in various Greek projects, contributing to Greeces economic recovery and growth, the pap er highlighted. Qatar is working to consolidate and strengthen bilateral relations with the Hellenic Republic through mutual diplomatic support in international forums, signing several agreements and increasing air traffic between the two countries as well as completing important pending agreements that highlight the strengthening of bilateral relations, the paper noted. The Peninsula concluded by pointing out that the Qatar-Greece relationship holds significant potential for further growth. Both nations are poised to deepen their partnership, leveraging their economic strengths and strategic interests to achieve mutual growth and prosperity. In turn, Al-Watan focused on the official talks between HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides. These talks held special significance due to the desire to enhance and develop cooperation in all fields and to consult and coordinate on regional and international issues of common concern, particularly in light of the ongoing developments in Gaza. In a post on his official X account, HH the Amir said that talks addressed ways to deepen the relations through mutual opportunities and partnerships in various fields to achieve the common aspirations to advance friendly relations and cooperation, which achieves the common interests of the two countries. President Christodoulides also emphasized the importance of His Highness's visit and its role in strengthening bilateral relations, expressing his eagerness to work with His Highness to develop mutual cooperation and advance relations to higher levels. Previously, in an interview with Qatar News Agency , President Christodoulides praised Qatars growth and development across all levels, which has made Qatar a successful and shining Arab and global model. He considered that the achievements have elevated Qatars stature not only within the Arab world but far beyond, especially in mediation. Al-Watan concluded by saying that Qatars esteemed position has been achie ved through continuous and diligent work under the wise leadership that has achieved a lot both domestically and internationally, making Qatar a true hub for international security and peace. Al-Arab newspaper said that the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Cyprus reflects the keenness of both countries' leaders to open wider horizons for bilateral relations and start a new phase of economic cooperation that serves the mutual goals and interests of both countries, given their strong desire to elevate relations to an advanced level. The newspaper added that HH the Amir's visit to Cyprus comes after 23 years since the establishment of joint relations in 2001, which culminated in the opening of embassies in Doha and Nicosia. The Cypriot embassy in Doha opened in 2004, while the Qatari embassy opened in Nicosia in 2007, as the first Gulf embassy in Cyprus. The bilateral relations have seen significant development, marked by reciprocal visits from the leaders of both countries at various le vels, notably the visit of the HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani to Cyprus in 2010, which resulted in the signing of several important agreements. In November 2023, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met HE President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, reflecting the deep-rooted relations based on mutual interest and commitment to development.
