Kawasaki: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Referees Committee has appointed a Qatari officiating team to oversee the AFC Champions League Elite East Zone match between Kawasaki Frontale of Japan and Shanghai of China, set for tomorrow, Tuesday, in Kawasaki, Japan, as part of the tournament's fourth round. The officiating team includes Salman Falahi as the match referee, Ramzan Al Naimi as the first assistant referee, Majed Hadees as the second assistant referee, Abdulhadi Al Ruwaili as the fourth official, and Khamis Al Marri and Mohammed Ahmed Al Shammari as video assistant referees (VAR). According to Qatar News Agency, further showcasing the prominent role of Qatari referees in international competitions, a second Qatari crew, including Abdullah Al Athba, Khaled Ayed, and Jumaa Al Burshid, has been appointed for the AFC Champions League Group D match between Kuwait SC and Shabab Al-Ahli SC. This match will take place on Wednesday at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait. These assignments underscore the AFC's confidence in Qatari referees' skill and professionalism, as they continue to represent Qatar in high-stakes international fixtures.
