Doha: Qatari newspapers highlighted, in their Monday editorials, the State of Qatar's ongoing efforts to support de-escalation and promote security and stability in the region, particularly in light of developments related to the ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

According to Qatar News Agency, the editorials underscored the communications and meetings conducted by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani with several of his counterparts. These actions are part of continuous consultation and coordination to support efforts aimed at achieving regional and international security and stability.

The editorials affirmed Qatar's position, stressing the importance of all parties responding to ongoing mediation efforts, paving the way for addressing the root causes of the crisis through dialogue and peaceful means, ultimately leading to a sustainable agreement that prevents renewed escalation.

In this context, Al Raya Newspaper stated in its editorial that Qatar continues its role as a driving force toward de-escalation in the region, seeking to foster a positive climate that paves the way for sustainable settlements and spares the region further tensions, in favor of its security, stability, and prosperity. The newspaper noted the diplomatic movements and contacts received by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani on Sunday and over the past period, reflecting this approach.

Al Raya emphasized the need to keep maritime corridors open, ensure freedom of navigation, and avoid using them as tools of pressure or bargaining, highlighting the negative repercussions on countries in the region, as well as on global energy and food supplies, and its implications for international peace and security, given the region's strategic importance in global energy trade. Al Raya concluded by affirming that Doha supports all regional efforts aimed at defusing the crisis.
