Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), in partnership with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), has launched the third cycle of its joint Food Security Call. The initiative enables interested researchers to submit their research proposals online via https://oss.qgrants.org/ starting September 27.
The winning proposals will receive grants of a maximum period of three years with a total budget of no more than $500,000, with a budget of no more than $200,000 per year.
The research priorities for this course are: assessing local food supply chains, providing practical solutions to the challenges they face, innovative practices for strategic crop production, pest and disease control, sustainable fishing and fish farms, development of high-production and healthy farm animals, and control of epidemics and diseases that inflict on animals.
