QRCS Launches Adahi Project for 1447 AH Under ‘Make Their Eid’ Slogan

Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched the Adahi Project for 1447 AH under the slogan 'Make Their Eid.' This seasonal initiative aims to facilitate the ritual sacrifice by enabling donors to book Sharia-compliant livestock, including sheep, cattle, and goats, under the organization's supervision.

According to Qatar News Agency, QRCS will oversee the delivery of donated sacrificial meat to eligible beneficiaries both inside Qatar and abroad, adhering to applicable hygiene and humanitarian standards. The project is part of QRCS's 'Keep Your Balance of Good Deeds Alive' campaign, initiated during the holy month of Ramadan. It seeks to distribute slaughtered and canned Adahi meat as food assistance to more than 250,000 people across 17 countries worldwide.

Ebrahim bin Hashim AlSada, Managing Director and Secretary-General of QRCS, stated that the organization is launching the annual Adahi project for the tenth consecutive year to simplify the process for individuals wishing to perform the ritual. Donors can complete the process through a few straightforward steps by selecting the country, specifying the type of sacrifice, and making the payment easily.

He further mentioned that QRCS specialists coordinate all necessary arrangements with partners and relevant authorities to carry out slaughtering, preparation, and distribution to displaced persons, refugees, and those in need. This enables donors to combine the spiritual reward of the sacrifice with the humanitarian benefit of supporting vulnerable communities.

The statement highlighted that the project consists of two components: one inside Qatar targeting families registered under social assistance lists, and another targeting beneficiaries outside the country.
