Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index closed Wednesday's trading session down by 51.23 points, or 0.49 percent, to settle at 10,472.69 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 149,663,276 shares were traded during the session, with a total value of QAR 405,283,560.355 through 25,544 transactions across all sectors. The trading activity saw shares of 11 companies advance, while the shares of 38 other companies declined, and the shares of two companies remained unchanged.

Market capitalization at the close of trading stood at QAR 624,950,063,106.714 compared to QAR 628,767,199,889.196 in the previous session, indicating a decrease from the prior trading day.
