Doha, Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 13.78 points at the beginning of Wednesday's trading session, with a growth rate of 0.14%, reaching a level of 9537 points compared to the end of Tuesday's trading, backed by five sectors.
Qatar Stock Exchange figures attributed the positive performance of the general index to the transportation sector by 0.92%, the industrial sector by 0.87%, the real estate sector by 0.57%, the telecommunications sector by 0.42% and the consumer goods and services sector by 0.13%. On the other hand, the performance was negative for the insurance sector by 0.06% and the banking and financial services sector by 0.51%.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded trades worth QR 81.435 million, distributed among 36.465 million shares, with 2,916 transactions.
