QSE Index Rises 0.10% at Start of Trading

Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index opened Thursday’s trading higher by 0.10%, adding 10.88 points to reach 10,938 points, compared to the previous session’s close, supported by most sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, figures from QSE showed positive performances in the Telecoms sector by 2.67%, Transportation by 0.42%, Insurance by 0.23%, and Real Estate by 0.09%. Meanwhile, the Consumer Goods and Services sector dropped by 0.07%, and both the Banking and Financial Services sector and the Industrials sector dropped by 0.16%.

At 10:00 AM, QSE recorded 3,113 transactions worth QAR 51.272 million, distributed over 17.005 million shares.
