QSE Index Rises 0.33% at Market Open

Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) experienced an increase of 33.41 points, or 0.33%, as trading commenced on Thursday, reaching a level of 10,270 points compared to the previous closing figure.

According to Qatar News Agency, the index’s rise was supported by gains observed across multiple sectors. Notably, the Telecoms sector saw an increase of 0.96%, followed by Banks and Financial Services at 0.45%. Additionally, Real Estate went up by 0.34%, Consumer Goods and Services by 0.30%, Insurance by 0.23%, and Industrials by 0.16%. Conversely, the Transportation sector was the only one to register a decline, falling by 0.72%.

By 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 47.458 million shares, amounting to a total value of QR 79.997 million, spread across 3,446 transactions.
