Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose 41.82 points, or 0.40%, at the start of trading on Thursday, to reach the level of 10,505 points, compared to last closing. According to Qatar News Agency, the index was supported by a rise in five sectors. The Industrials sector led the gains with an increase of 1.27%. Other sectors also experienced growth, including Transportation, which rose by 0.42%; Consumer Goods and Services, up by 0.27%; Telecoms, which saw a slight rise of 0.07%; and Real Estate, which increased by 0.02%. Conversely, not all sectors experienced growth. The Banks and Financial Services sector saw a marginal decline of 0.03%, while the Insurance sector fell by 0.20%. By around 10:00 am, trading activity was relatively robust with 47.150 million shares exchanged in 2,592 transactions, amounting to a total value of QR100.373 million.
