Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose modestly by 7.10 points, or 0.07%, reaching a level of 10,465 at the start of trading on Wednesday. This increase marked a positive opening for the day's trading session. According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE index's upward movement was primarily supported by gains in several sectors. Notably, the Banks and Financial Services sector experienced a rise of 0.37%, while the Telecoms sector saw an increase of 0.22%. Additionally, the Consumer Goods and Services sector contributed to the index's growth with a rise of 0.15%. Despite the overall positive trend, the QSE index faced challenges as some sectors experienced declines. The Insurance sector decreased by 0.09%, Real Estate fell by 0.10%, Transportation registered a decline of 0.21%, and Industrials saw a drop of 0.26%. By around 10:00 am, a total of 23.208 million shares had been traded across 1,919 transactions, with a total value of QR 57.715 million, reflecting active participation in the mar ket.
