Doha: October 11 - The 2024-2025 QSL Cup witnessed three exciting games on Friday as part of Round 4 of Group A, which includes Al Duhail, Al Arabi, Al Ahli, Al Rayyan, Qatar SC, and Al Shahania. Al Arabi secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Al Duhail at Al Khor Stadium, thanks to a goal by Spanish player Rodrigo Sanchez in the 30th minute. Al Arabi raised their tally to 9 points and moving them to second place in the group standings. Despite suffering their first loss, Al Duhail retained the top spot on goal difference. In another match, Qatar SC and Al Rayyan drew 2-2 at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium. After a goalless first half, Brazilian Roger Guedes opened the scoring for Al Rayyan in the 59th minute. Congo's Ben Malango equalized for Qatar SC in the 63rd minute, followed by a second goal from Ali Awad in the 73rd. Rodrigo Tabata leveled the match for Al Rayyan in the 85th minute. Al Rayyan now has 7 points and has dropped to third place, while Qatar SC moved up to fifth with 2 points, level on points wit h last placed Al Shahaniya. In the final game, Al Ahli and Al Shahaniya played to a 1-1 draw at Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium. Lotfi Rabah Madjer scored for Al Shahaniya in the 23rd minute, while Sekou Oumar equalized for Al Ahli in the 50th. Al Ahli remains fourth with 5 points, while Al Shahaniya holds onto sixth place with 2 points. On Saturday, two more matches are scheduled: Al Gharafa will face Al Shamal at Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium, and Al Wakrah will play against Umm Salal at Al Khor Stadium. Source: Qatar News Agency
