The Russian Defense Ministry announced the elimination of 13,100 soldiers and the destruction of 110 tanks since the start of the Ukrainian attack on Kursk on August 6. The ministry explained in a statement that the "northern" forces continue to seize the areas of Novo-Ivanovka, Darino, Nikolaevo-Darino, Pokrovskoye, and Borki from the Ukrainian forces, noting that during the past 24 hours they repelled 5 hostile attacks on the towns and villages of Maryivka, Lyubimovka, Obukhovka, and Russkaya Konapelka, and 13,100 soldiers were eliminated and 110 tanks, hundreds of armored vehicles, cannons, rocket launchers, air defense systems, 26 electronic warfare stations, and 7 radar stations were destroyed. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, warned that Russia's patience in not taking a nuclear response to Western actions in Ukraine is about to run out. 'No party has an interest in a nuclear conflict,' he said, according to the Russian news agency TASS. Russia has so far exercised re straint in using its nuclear capabilities in response to Western intervention, particularly with regard to precision strikes deep inside Russian territory. However, he warned that 'even the highest level of patience has its limits.'
