The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the elimination of 1,975 Ukrainian soldiers in the past 24 hours. The Ministry of Defense's daily statement on the progress of the military operation in Ukraine stated that during the past 24 hours, Russian forces strengthened their positions on a number of battlefronts, repelled a number of attacks, and inflicted 1,975 casualties on Ukrainian forces. The ministry added that 140 drones and 10 missiles were also shot down, and two rocket launchers, 3 tanks, 5 armored vehicles, 4 electronic stations, and 5 ammunition depots were destroyed. Since Feb. 24, 2022, Russia has launched a military operation in Ukraine that is required to end Kiev's abandonment of membership in Western military entities that it says threatens its national security.
