Russian Defense reported on Sunday that its aircraft destroyed, near Zmini Island in the Black Sea, three American-made boats carrying landing groups belonging to the Ukrainian forces that were heading to the Crimean Peninsula.
This morning, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement in which it said: “Last night, aircraft of the Russian Black Sea Fleet destroyed three American-made Willard Sea Force fast gunboats, carrying landing groups belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The statement added that the enemy boats were heading towards the coast of the Crimean Peninsula.
In a similar incident, Russian Defense announced last Monday that Black Sea Fleet fighters destroyed four American-made Ukrainian warboats carrying landing groups west of the Crimean Peninsula.
