The Russian Defense Ministry announced Sunday that air defense systems shot down 110 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory Saturday night. The ministry added that 43 drones were shot down over Kursk Oblast, 27 over Lipetsk Oblast, 18 over Oryol Oblast, 8 over Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, 7 over Belgorod Oblast, 6 over Bryansk Oblast, and 1 over the territory of Moscow. There have been conflicting reports between Russia and Ukraine about the facts of the situation on the ground since the start of the Russian military operation against Ukraine in February 2022, as the two countries announce daily the downing of drones, with no sign of either side being prepared to end the conflict.
