Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that Moscows offensive in Ukraines northeastern Kharkiv region aims to create a buffer zone amid the war that has been dragging on between the two countries since February 2022. Addressing a press conference upon wrapping up his trip to Beijing, China, the Russian President blamed Ukrainian authorities for the Russian operation in Kharkiv in retaliation for pounding Russian territories, pointing out that Russia achieves daily successes in Kharkiv. Putin added that officials in Ukraine cannot realize that inflicting a strategic defeat upon Russia is not something they are capable of adding that it was time to understand who Russia's adversary is, and how to trust and deal with it.
