Samsung intends to improve artificial intelligence (AI) features in upcoming versions of its smartphones in cooperation with Google. According to the companys vice president for the semiconductor industry, Cholmin Guo, "Samsung has begun work on including the second generation of the Gemini Nano AI model in the upcoming Galaxy S25 series smartphones". The company will hold a meeting with Google next week to discuss this, local Korean media reported. Gemini Nano is an AI model from Google that Samsung uses for some of the AI features found in the Galaxy S24 phones, in addition to phones with high-end specifications that were launched in 2023 with the One UI 6.1 update, and it works on devices without the need to connect to external servers. Google has not mentioned anything yet about the second generation of the Gemini Nano model. Samsung's announcement confirms that Google is working on the second generation of Gemini models or has already developed them, and that its upcoming phones will have better perf ormance with regard to AI capabilities.
