Ukraine: Saudi Arabia has expressed concern over the current military escalation in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry called for de-escalation and restraint. It also voiced support for Pakistani mediation and diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a political solution that would prevent the region from sliding into further tensions and destabilization, which would not serve the interests of the region or the world.

The statement added that the Kingdom stresses the importance of restoring freedom of international maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to its normal state as it was before Feb. 28, and calls for ensuring the safe and secure passage of ships without restrictions.
