Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested seven suspects, including a terrorist, during preemptive security operations in areas surrounding the capital. The Command stated in a statement: "The formations of the (6th and 17th) Infantry Divisions and the units attached to them, in coordination with the Intelligence and Security Department of the command, carried out preemptive operations to search and inspect the regions, armed reconnaissance, and set up "temporary" surprise checkpoints in various areas surrounding the capital within the districts of "Tarmia and Mahmoudia." It added: "The operation resulted in the arrest of "seven" suspects, including a terrorist, belonging to ISIS gangs, after receiving accurate intelligence information indicating his presence within the area of responsibility, and in a tight ambush set for him, he was arrested in (Al-Salihin) area within the Abu Ghraib district, and others according to various legal articles in the areas of (Al-Mazra'a, Al-Salam, Al-Rahma) south of Baghdad .
