The Shura Council held yesterday its regular weekly session, in "Tamim bin Hamad Hall", under the chairmanship of HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim.
During the session, the Council approved a draft law on combating the concealment of the practice of commercial, economic and professional activities by non-Qataris in violation of the law, as amended, after reviewing the report of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on it and discussing the provisions of the draft law by Their Excellencies the members of the Council.
In this context, Their Excellencies the members of the Council stressed the importance of the draft law in protecting the rights of citizens, strengthening the national economy, and protecting commercial and economic activities, noting that the draft law keeps pace with developments in the economic and investment fields, and limits the negative effects of concealment on the national economy.
