Doha: The Shura Council participated Thursday in an Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) virtual webinar to foster parliamentarians' skills for boosting sustainable peace. The event, themed 'Building Trust, Building Peace - How Can Parliamentarians Bridge Divides?', was conducted in collaboration with the World Academy of Art and Science. According to Qatar News Agency, HE Shura Council Member Essa bin Ahmed Al Nassr attended the meeting, which focused on key topics such as the role of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting trust and building peace, as well as parliamentarians' practical mediation skills to resolve conflicts. The attendees also explored local, regional, and international initiatives that have successfully contributed to bridging societal and political divides and promoting dialogue.
