Manama, Osama bin Ahmed Al Asfoor, the Minister of Social Development and Chairman of the National Committee for the Elderly, emphasised Bahrain's commitment to supporting the elderly, recognising their role in society. In a statement marking the International Day of Older Persons, he highlighted Bahrain's initiatives, such as the forming of the National Committee for Elderly Care and integrating efforts across government, civil, and private sectors. The ministry continues working with all sectors to ensure comprehensive social care services and benefit from the elderly's expertise. He also noted the ministry's focus on safeguarding elderly rights and the positive impact of day-care centres.
