Manama, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, the Minister of Social Development, opened the first Gulf Youth Forum on Social Responsibility, attended by Rawaan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, the Minister of Youth Affairs. The forum was organised by the Bahrain Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Society, with participation from various relevant institutions and social figures. Al Asfoor highlighted the important role of civil society institutions as key partners in national efforts, praising the community initiatives undertaken by this developmental sector. He said that the forum serves as a platform for constructive dialogue and the exchange of ideas on how to enhance youth engagement in social responsibility, aiming to create opportunities for them to support sustainability and social and economic development. He emphasised the ministry's commitment to fostering effective partnerships across all sectors to advance national development projects for the benefit of the community. The forum aims to promote the concep t of social responsibility among youth, highlighting its indicators, developmental priorities, and practices that contribute to sustainable development within a community partnership framework. The agenda included several key topics, such as training programmes in social fields, developmental and community initiatives, leadership development for young people, and innovation in social responsibility.
