SpaceX America Launches 23 New Satellites into Space

Doha: The American Space Exploration Technologies Corporation /SpaceX/ launched Friday 23 Starlink satellites into space.

According to Qatar News Agency, the 11th Falcon 9 rocket, carrying the satellites, was launched from Vandenberg Space Station in California at 9:07 a.m. ET (1407 GMT; 6:07 a.m. local time), the company said in a statement, noting that the rocket carried the satellites into low Earth orbit, about 64 minutes after liftoff.

The company said that the first stage of the rocket returned to Earth successfully about eight minutes later, landing on a SpaceX drone ship stationed in the Pacific Ocean. Today’s flight was the 23rd launch and landing of this booster rocket, according to SpaceX’s mission description, while 14 of its 22 flights so far have been Starlink missions.
