Manama, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Saqib Rauf, Pakistani Ambassador to Bahrain. The ambassador delivered an official invitation from Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Pakistani Speaker of the National Assembly, to visit Pakistan to discuss enhancing cooperation across various domains. Al Musallam highlighted the strong Bahrain-Pakistan ties, underscoring their strategic partnership, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He emphasised joint parliamentary cooperation, bilateral coordination in regional and international forums, and support for cooperation agreements and joint projects to enhance trade, develop investment opportunities, and achieve mutual aspirations and goals for both nations and their people. The Pakistani ambassador thanked the Bahraini Parliament for its efforts in strengthening bilateral cooperation for the mu tual benefit of both nations and their peoples, emphasising the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing cooperation to benefit all.
