Athens, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Dinah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, met with Dr. Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou, the Greek Prime Minister's Special Envoy for the Ocean. The meeting came on the sidelines of the ninth UN Our Ocean Conference, hosted by Greece under the theme "Our Ocean ... an Ocean of Potential". The minister reiterated the strong relations between Bahrain and Greece, emphasising the importance of furthering cooperation across all sectors and expressing appreciation for Greece's efforts in organising the international conference. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two nations in ocean protection, aquaculture and food security. Dr. Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou commended the bilateral relations between the two countries, highlighting Bahrain's leading role in the region regarding marine environmental protection and maritime security.
